How To Cook On A Salt Slab

The Key:

To cooking on a salt slab successfully

HEAT THE SLAB SLOWLY

You can use your cooking slab in your oven, on top of the stove or on a grill.

Grill Instructions:             grilling on a salt block

Heat the slab at the lowest possible setting (200 degrees) for 15 minutes

Increase the temperature every 10 minutes going from Low – Medium – High

It should take at least 35 minutes to heat the cooking slab (500 degrees)

Oven Instructions:

In the oven start at 250 degrees for 10-= 12 minutes and slowly increase to 400 degrees  images-3

Stove Top Instructions:

images-4Put on top of your stove with the oven heating for 1 -1 1/4 hours to slowly heat it to be used on top of burners

Allow to thoroughly COOL before cleaning. This may take several hours (see below for cleaning instructions)

 

 

 

Cooking Slabs can also be put in your refrigerator and cooled. Use this cold slab to serve vegetables, sushi, shrimp and a multitude of other “pick up” foods10071

 

Wash slab carefully after use and dry immediately with a towel. Allow to thoroughly AIR DRY thoroughly then store in a cool space
